I'm guessing the kind of travel you want to talk about doesn't involve magic beans or tornadoes.

Those are usually involved in children's stories where I'm from, but I'm at a point in my life where I'm willing to accept anything as just science I don't yet understand.

Do you have experience, or are you yanking my chain?

Well, Arthur C. Clarke did say that "magic is just science we don't understand yet".

Ah, no. My experience is in jumping through a portal caused by a magic hat. But I've seen other people use the tornado and the magic bean methods. Though I'm not sure what we do is crossing dimensions so much as other worlds.

What kind of world are you from? These are all stories I've told my daughter. They're fairytales, here.

Yeah, I know.

But I'm not from the Enchanted Forest. My world's more like those movies that feature Universal monsters. Black-and-white, thunder storms, mad scientists. That kind of thing.

The mad scientist ones are my favourite. Any mummies rolling around?

Always happy to meet a fan. You ever see the James Whale version of Frankenstein? He got my lab pretty accurate.
